Going Retirement Crazy...

So VeraObsessed let us in on some 411 that is really shocking. Apparently the folks at Vera are bringing back as well as creating new styles, because they are retiring a whole LOTTA stuff! A few things aren't shocking because they've had a long rack life, but SOME of these things are either BRAND SPANKING NEW or are STAPLES in my and other women's lives (Warning: I will rant at the bottom, and I may curse. You have been forewarned...)

WTF it's like they have gone nuts! They are giving shit away like it's set to self destruct in 5 minutes. I feel like they're not even giving some styles a chance! For goodness sakes Cocoa Moss, Lola, and La Neon Rose just came out this season. I know La Neon Rose was supposed to be limited, but come on! I don't even like Lola but I know people who do....this sucks for them.

Baroque, Indigo Pop, and Va Va Bloom have been around for at least a year, so I'm not so shocked, but styles that came out in as many months as I have fingers on one hand...come on guys....

It looks like they're wrapping up the baby line too, both baby prints (Lola and Lilli Bell) are retiring next year. They're keeping Tutti Frutti but are retiring Sun Valley...WTAF, if they're going to retire anything out of that whole line, retire THAT! I love Sun Valley so I'm a little shocked at this....

...but not as shocked as them retiring the freaking MILLER, GRAND TOTE, SMALL DUFFEL, and MESSENGER BAG! Why?!?! I could tell that the Miller was always a nice go-to bag. I don't own one, but my co-workers sure do and to say they were not amused was an understatement. The Grand Tote is a GREAT overnight bag, as is the Small Duffel, which is also a good gym bag. I LOVE my Messenger, it holds my life together when I'm commuting to school and running for the bus to go home. These styles are so practical that they BETTER have something to knock my damn socks off to replace them. I'm DEFINITELY buying some shit before they retire.


I don't know guys, what do you think? Are you excited for new styles (I'll talk about those later)? Are you upset about some of the items on the chopping block?

Lilli Bell Love (and Sun Valley's cool too)

SO last week Vera released their very cute Summer 2013 prints. I've been plotting on a few things for a while, but I wasn't sure if certain items would be in those prints...namely the Monogrammed Totes.

But as good news would have it, they did! And of COURSE Lilli Bell would be the one to have almost all my favorite colors on it!

What else could a girl ask for??
The only thing about this print is that it's a white background print. Very light, easily dirtied and stained. That's why the Colorblock Tote works for me, because it's heavy on the Dark Pink, it won't get dirty as fast. Sure I can always wash it, but it's too much to want to get this print for a work bag (Remember, I work with kids). This can be an accessory print. The biggest I'll go with the full print is a regular Tote.

Now my second fave out of the summer colors is definitely Sun Valley. My sister asked me "Why? It's the total opposite of Lilli Bell! It's darker, and the print just looks heavy!" 

EXACTLY.

Sun Valley is perfect for an active summer. This year I might be an Overnight Summer Camp Counselor, and I'll need something that I won't have to worry about grass/mud/lake water stains (because lakes are just giant mud puddles, people). The Dark Blue and Deep Orange in this print are PERFECT for that. I can get a little rough with it and it can still look fab. I can have no problems commuting on the hot, sticky train or bus with it, and the children I may work with can get a little grabby with it without me wanting to maul their hands off because they're filthy from playing all day.

WHAT are they trying to DO TO ME?!?!

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a sucker for charm bracelets. I had a Juicy Couture problem after college, and it took a while for me to get over it. However, this Bobble Charm Bracelet that I see in Lilli Bell is MINE ASAP do you hear me??? I have a Bangle in Portobello Road and I love it, so I can imagine how much I'll love a pretty pink charm bracelet!

From what I can see, all Summer 2013 colors as well as Plum Crazy and Ribbons will be featured in the jewelry. Since Plum Crazy is in there I'm assuming that maybe the rest of Spring 2013 will be featured too? I don't know anymore info about these pieces right now, but I will sure as heck update as I find out! I can't wait for these babies to come out, just the thought of having that bracelet slays me! I also wonder if they're going to make any necklaces or earrings. Oh the thought makes me dizzy with excitement!
