Walking in a Vera wonderland....

This is going to be a bit long I think, and there's going to be quite a few gifs to express my feels, so here is my warning to strap yourselves in lol....

First things first:

So if you are reading this, it's clear who won the design battle, Canterbury Magenta of course! And look at how FAB it is! Thank you guys soooo much for your input! Some people wanted a different print, and I've been wondering what print you guys would have liked. I love designing new layouts so comment below with what prints you'd like me to create a layout for next and I'll hop to it!

Secondly, onto real Vera news...its happened guys! Venetian Paisley (VP) and Canterbury Magenta (CaMa) are here, and they are such beauties!!

 Honestly, I wasn't too crazy about VP at first...it looked like way too much going on. In those cases I have to wait so see it on merchandise to make a real judgement. I felt the same way about Heather and Jazzy Blooms and I ended up LOVING those prints. Seeing it on items changes things a little for me. Granted, I'm not totally in love with VP still, but it doesn't abhor me like Tutti Frutti did/does/itneedstogoaway.

How I feel about Tutti Frutti i'm not sorry.

But VP is very likeable. I can see why some of you citizens are totally taken with it! It especially looks nice on the hipsters, and that cute Double Take tote! Plus, I absolutely love the chevron interior print! I'm a total sucker for stripe, and chevron is no exception!

Now CaMa is frickin GORGE on stuff...I want everything in it! I love everything about it; the colors, the design, the SIMPLICITY of it. Of course the fact that it's magenta kicks it up an extra notch. Canterbury Cobalt is nice too, the blue pops out as well, but I'm a girlie girl, so pink wins! I also love it because it's a black based print, so it can be a heavy-duty job print, like for work or travel.

GIVE ME ALL THE THINGS!!!!!!!

I'm honestly torn between stuff! Do I want a hardshell case or a soft one? Do I want the Stay Cooler or a Lunch Bunch? Glenna or Vera? OR PLEATED TOTE?!

Decisions, decisions! Gah I need a second job!

Why? Because on top of that, they have also given me kitchen things in Bittersweet and I NEED THEM OKAY?! Here's my itty bitty very RED kitchen....there needs to be some touches of Vera in there!

Can you visualize it?? I can! It was like they made it for my kitchen!

Also released were some of the holiday items, like the ornaments, warm fuzzy slippers and boots, and CUUUUUTE pet accessories!!!

Some people went APESHIT on the release day. No, really, they went nuts, because some of this stuff is STILL sold out! These pet accessories didn't have a chance, they were snatched up within a few hours. Thank goodness I don't have my dog (yet) or else I would have been devastated.

Moving on, November 21st is a big day. It is the re-release day of Pink Elephants! VeraObsessed has me drooling over her Insta:

Pink Elephants was a Spring 2007 Breast Cancer Awareness color, and it's just ADORABLE! It's hard enough trying to decide what I want for Christmas...this is not helping! You know how much of a sucker I am for pink....

November 21 is also the release of more holiday items like this:

It's a flipping robe! A fuzzy warm robe! I cannot with this! Can you imagine this with those Cozy Slippers they have already available?! It supposed to be made from the same material as the Throw Blankets! Holy shit thats insane! Do you know how soft those things are?! I'll never leave my house, or I'll show up to work in a damn robe all winter!

It's retail price is said to be $58 (affordable!) and it'll be offered in Heather, Venetian Paisley, Midnight Blues, Tutti Frutti (ugh) and Ribbons (yay!). Honestly, I really wish they'd throw me a bone and include Olivia Pink in cute stuff like this! Good thing I love Ribbons and Heather or I'd be a little ticked! The colors are the same ones that are offered for the slippers so it makes sense...but aww.

Designer's block

This is more of a Shay Share....I need help!

I'm thinking of changing my layout to go along with the release of Canterbury Magenta....but I LOVE Olivia Pink!!!! I had planned on leaving this layout for a while but the desktop wallapapers came out the other day and now I'm torn!

What should I do?!?!

Gah! Olivia Pink has my heart but that Magenta in CM really POPS! Decisions, decisions....help a sistah out!

Fall Prints Part II Video

There were little girls with little purses and I die from the adorableness! Can I just mention that Olivia Pink was ALL UP IN THERE and it was fabulous! September 19th can't get here FAST ENOUGH!

Also posted on the site are the new desktop downloads...so the blog is about to be revamped to quench my Olivia Pink thirst! Stay tuned for that.

Suddenly Summer..

Guess who's back!!!!

So I've been super busy working instead of enjoying my summer vacation, but now things are starting to wind down and I can finally catch up on my Vera love

First thing's first: upcoming promos!

• Theres a Lunch Bag/Water Bottle for $36 promo going on until the 25th of August
• The RETIREMENT SALE of Canyon, English Rose, Dogwood, Suzani, and Island Blooms is supposed to start the 29th of August, BUT I went into my Vera Store this past weekend and the sale started for them already. I picked up a lovely Canyon tote ^_^

And for the rest of the year (so far)...

• September 19 - Fall Fashion and Baby Release: Olivia Pink (AAAHHHH), Bittersweet, Canterberry Cobalt - Colorblock, Perfectly Puffy, Double-Take,  Jewelry, Vera Vera, Paper and Gifts, and Sunglasses
• November 7 - Winter Launch: Canterberry Magenta and Venetian Paisley, plus Holiday Gifts, Shimmer, Pets, Colorblock, Perfectly Puffy, Faux Leather Trim, Double-Take, Vera Vera, and Paper and Gift styles
• And as for La Neon Rose: Apparently it's a limited release, so it's anybody's guess right now.

I can't WAIT for the fall release, I plan on getting a new Vera tote, and I think we ALL know what print it's going to be in....

I'm still working on getting my Heather bedding, it's been setback central over her in Casa de Shay, so it's something that I'll keep in my dreams until I can afford it lol.

SO we already knew about Just Mousing Around and Midnight with Mickey, I can't wait till they're available online in October, they look so darn cute!

That VeraObsessed, how I LOVE HER because what IS THIS:

THIS people is a Disney Mickey/Lola HYBRID AND I'M EXCITED BECAUSE WHAT ELSE ARE THEY HIDING AT THE HOUSE OF MOUSE?! I don't like Lola, I think the colors are wrong together, but I LIKE THIS LOLA! The blues and greens work great with each other, supposedly it's to be released in December with some holiday gift promos or something, whatever I'm HYPED lol.

Winter 2013 Preview

Hello All!

Life's been kinda crazy the past month, I'm moving into my own first apartment, so I've been 100% focused on that. HOWEVER, thanks to A Very Vera World and VeraObsessed, I did happen to see that there was an in store preview for the new Winter 2013 prints.

Canterberry Magenta, Canterberry Cobalt, and Venetian Paisley

First, I'd just like to say that unless I've missed something, there are still 3 other patterns floating about the universe with no release date (again, please correct me if I'm wrong, I want those prints to come out!)

Second, since the confusion started last month, I didn't really give my take on these new prints. I have to say that I'm not totally blown away. The Canterberry prints are nice, I could see them being good for a work bag, you can kind of match the Cobalt one with a lot of things. They actually remind be of Baroque with the black, white, gray patter with a little pop of color.

Now on to this Venetian Paisley....although that paisley design is growing on me (slowly), I am not fond of these colors mixed in. Its like an inverted version of Tutti Frutti, and I don't like that print unless it's on cute little baby booties.

I do love the interior of the bags though, especially Venetian Paisley's. I would definitely rock it inside out with no shame.

Again, not blown away. I'm still in love with older prints, and they're NOT trying to give me my Olivia Pink, so no New Print <3 for this....for now.

The next Vera item I'm looking to purchase will be bedding for my apartment, I'm plotting hard on that Heather set ^_^ hopefully I get some cute Vera housewarming gifts!
