Hybrid Theory

Holy moly, this winter is CRAZYYYYYY. Snow, snow, EVERYWHERE...

...and I'm over it.

Even though Vera has released their Spring '14 line...it's a loooooooong way until the season really gets here. The winter season is not good if you're my wallet. Why? Because while avoiding the arctic weather outside, I'm staying indoors with nothing to do but browse and shop.

I have a serious shopping problem. I've trolled ebay, Poshmark, AND Vinted for Vera for the past month...and have gotten so much I've been giving "late christmas" gifts to relatives so I don't look crazy. Somebody help me LAWD. Am I the only one who has lost their minds in Vera-land?

*sigh*

ONTO THE GOOD STUFF!

So I know I've been a lurker in Vera-land these past few weeks (grad school is hard!), but I've still been keeping tabs on the goodies! I have to say, this Vera/Disney partnership is SO WIN with all the cute stuff they've come out with so far...

Prices aside (because the folks at Disney seem to think us regulars shit diamonds), these patterns were so danmn beautiful, people were having sword fights to get their hands on them! And who could blame them? If I had the money, I'd brandish my sword and say en garde with the rest of them!

The best part about the Vera/Disney ship are the hybrids. They are beyond fantastic, and have a tendency to make me like patterns that I normally hate. Where's Mickey? was a Lola hybrid, with Mickey heads replacing the interior chain pattern, and then sprinkled throughout the exterior glyph pattern. The colors alone made me love it; that green/pink/white over brown color scheme the original Lola had was not the best. This blue/turquoise/lime green over navy blue was hottttttt!

So yea, we (and I mean me) have been waiting on pins and needles for the next hybrid...and here it is! And even better, who else to put me on than my Vera-Godmother VeraObsessed (luv ya!!!)!

Apparently, this lil doggie made it's way around social media tonight, and I for one am just speechless...because I was so wrong about Flower Shower. I admit, I was not a fan of it (still kinda true), but even I can admit that with a Mickey head thrown into the mix, this print has changed! This hybrid gives a pattern I loath a second chance for me! It's such a summer print now, it's like my eyes have been opened!

What do you guys think? What other hybrids do you think are coming out????

Suddenly Summer..

Guess who's back!!!!

So I've been super busy working instead of enjoying my summer vacation, but now things are starting to wind down and I can finally catch up on my Vera love

First thing's first: upcoming promos!

• Theres a Lunch Bag/Water Bottle for $36 promo going on until the 25th of August
• The RETIREMENT SALE of Canyon, English Rose, Dogwood, Suzani, and Island Blooms is supposed to start the 29th of August, BUT I went into my Vera Store this past weekend and the sale started for them already. I picked up a lovely Canyon tote ^_^

And for the rest of the year (so far)...

• September 19 - Fall Fashion and Baby Release: Olivia Pink (AAAHHHH), Bittersweet, Canterberry Cobalt - Colorblock, Perfectly Puffy, Double-Take,  Jewelry, Vera Vera, Paper and Gifts, and Sunglasses
• November 7 - Winter Launch: Canterberry Magenta and Venetian Paisley, plus Holiday Gifts, Shimmer, Pets, Colorblock, Perfectly Puffy, Faux Leather Trim, Double-Take, Vera Vera, and Paper and Gift styles
• And as for La Neon Rose: Apparently it's a limited release, so it's anybody's guess right now.

I can't WAIT for the fall release, I plan on getting a new Vera tote, and I think we ALL know what print it's going to be in....

I'm still working on getting my Heather bedding, it's been setback central over her in Casa de Shay, so it's something that I'll keep in my dreams until I can afford it lol.

NEXT THING: THE DISNEY PRINTS OMGGGGGGG

SO we already knew about Just Mousing Around and Midnight with Mickey, I can't wait till they're available online in October, they look so darn cute!

but WAIT! Is there another print sneaking around?!?! Or dare I say....PrintS with an S ohmygoodnesssssss!

That VeraObsessed, how I LOVE HER because what IS THIS:

THIS people is a Disney Mickey/Lola HYBRID AND I'M EXCITED BECAUSE WHAT ELSE ARE THEY HIDING AT THE HOUSE OF MOUSE?! I don't like Lola, I think the colors are wrong together, but I LIKE THIS LOLA! The blues and greens work great with each other, supposedly it's to be released in December with some holiday gift promos or something, whatever I'm HYPED lol.

So that's it for now, I know I have LOADS more to catch up on but this is it for now.

Vera Land meets Disneyland!!!

SO I go on Facebook and I see a post from VeraObsessed that makes me drop dead!

Yup

Apparently the folks at the House of Mouse decided to take a trip to Vera Land and set up camp! There will be two ADDITIONAL prints this fall, both Disney inspired and just so darn pretteh!!!!

 So the names of the Vera-Disney lovechild prints are Just Mousing Around and Midnight with Mickey. In the pic above I can spot the Duffel and Hipster in Midnight with Mickey and the Vera tote and Cosmetic Bag in Just Mousing Around.

Soooooo I'm in love with both, but I could definitely name Midnight with Mickey my fave of the two (which is surprising since I live for the color pink). The minute I started reading the article I freaked out from excitement, then I got mad because I figured I'd have to go to the damn Disney park in Orlando to get my hands on one of these (they're also available at Disneyland in Cali)

Then my rational side kicked in and told me to read on, and aside from eBay, I read that they would be available for online purchase at a later date (I hope "later" doesn't mean 2014 DEER GOD)
