Winter 2013 Preview

*peeks in*

Hello All!

Life's been kinda crazy the past month, I'm moving into my own first apartment, so I've been 100% focused on that. HOWEVER, thanks to A Very Vera World and VeraObsessed, I did happen to see that there was an in store preview for the new Winter 2013 prints.

Canterberry Magenta, Canterberry Cobalt, and Venetian Paisley

First, I'd just like to say that unless I've missed something, there are still 3 other patterns floating about the universe with no release date (again, please correct me if I'm wrong, I want those prints to come out!)

Second, since the confusion started last month, I didn't really give my take on these new prints. I have to say that I'm not totally blown away. The Canterberry prints are nice, I could see them being good for a work bag, you can kind of match the Cobalt one with a lot of things. They actually remind be of Baroque with the black, white, gray patter with a little pop of color.

Now on to this Venetian Paisley....although that paisley design is growing on me (slowly), I am not fond of these colors mixed in. Its like an inverted version of Tutti Frutti, and I don't like that print unless it's on cute little baby booties.

I do love the interior of the bags though, especially Venetian Paisley's. I would definitely rock it inside out with no shame.

Again, not blown away. I'm still in love with older prints, and they're NOT trying to give me my Olivia Pink, so no New Print <3 for this....for now.

The next Vera item I'm looking to purchase will be bedding for my apartment, I'm plotting hard on that Heather set ^_^ hopefully I get some cute Vera housewarming gifts!

More Prints from Another Survey

So I'm browsing Tumblr and I come across someone who also had a survey and got some different prints...

Soooo I don't know about YOU guys but I'm loving these more than the first group!

#1 is different, a little OD on the neon green...
#2 is simple and very pretty.
#3 I LOVE, I think it's the cutout stroke around the flowers that do it, like they're stickers!
#4 I ALSO LOVE! Olive green is one of my fave colors and I'd die if that were a chosen print!
#5 is another artsy one, it's flowers that aren't shaped like flowers. Kinda cute, good for a Kindergarten or children's Art teacher!
#6 reminds me of Very Berry Paisley...but it's not...

Anyone else get different colors on their survey? (And how can I get down with these surveys?!?!?!)

New survey, MORE prints...

So the awesome VeraObsessed pointed us in the direction of A Very Vera World last night to give us the hook up with some new survey prints! (Love ya!)

Check out the full sizes here

WOW.

So theres a lot going on here. Again there are a buttload of choices here. Some I love and can totally see myself wearing (#7 and #14), and others....not so much (#12 FOR SURE). Here my take on them:

#1 and #11 are similar; black backgrounds, a mirror image graphic, pastel colors, good for a bag that  you could commute with.

update 5/22/13: aaaaand I'm just noticing the roosters on #11...roosters are good for kitchens, NOT handbags.

#12 tries to pull that off and just comes off looking scary. For some reason it looks like a salad to me.

#7 is a good print to wear with some faded jeans on a chill day, and along with #2 and #6, they have this grey faded look that just relaxes me. Very flower childish.I love how #7 is a paisley made out of flowers, very cool.

#3 and #4 are not really my cups of tea...its a mix of paisley and fans and it's just too much for me.

#5, #9, #10, and #13 are pretty florals, but nothing to go crazy over

...except #9...I take it back it's cute...

No real comment on #8...

#14 reminds me of Composition with Red Blue and Yellow by Piet Mondrian

#15 reminds me of the EPA logo...but I still like the print.

#16 makes me think of pop art, the outlines, the bright colors, etc.. I think I like it...but I probably won't want to buy it on anything.

Yea, theres a LOT of pink, which I normally would love, but for some reason I'm not into it with some of these prints. Some of them hurt my eyes. Honestly very few of them I would buy on a piece of merchandise. However, I always say that when these things come out like this. So I'm going to wait until I see them on some bags and wallets before I make my final call.

Side Note: Where the HECK is Olivia Pink?!?! Waaaahhhhhhh
