Going Retirement Crazy...

So VeraObsessed let us in on some 411 that is really shocking. Apparently the folks at Vera are bringing back as well as creating new styles, because they are retiring a whole LOTTA stuff! A few things aren't shocking because they've had a long rack life, but SOME of these things are either BRAND SPANKING NEW or are STAPLES in my and other women's lives (Warning: I will rant at the bottom, and I may curse. You have been forewarned...)

WTF it's like they have gone nuts! They are giving shit away like it's set to self destruct in 5 minutes. I feel like they're not even giving some styles a chance! For goodness sakes Cocoa Moss, Lola, and La Neon Rose just came out this season. I know La Neon Rose was supposed to be limited, but come on! I don't even like Lola but I know people who do....this sucks for them.

Baroque, Indigo Pop, and Va Va Bloom have been around for at least a year, so I'm not so shocked, but styles that came out in as many months as I have fingers on one hand...come on guys....

It looks like they're wrapping up the baby line too, both baby prints (Lola and Lilli Bell) are retiring next year. They're keeping Tutti Frutti but are retiring Sun Valley...WTAF, if they're going to retire anything out of that whole line, retire THAT! I love Sun Valley so I'm a little shocked at this....

...but not as shocked as them retiring the freaking MILLER, GRAND TOTE, SMALL DUFFEL, and MESSENGER BAG! Why?!?! I could tell that the Miller was always a nice go-to bag. I don't own one, but my co-workers sure do and to say they were not amused was an understatement. The Grand Tote is a GREAT overnight bag, as is the Small Duffel, which is also a good gym bag. I LOVE my Messenger, it holds my life together when I'm commuting to school and running for the bus to go home. These styles are so practical that they BETTER have something to knock my damn socks off to replace them. I'm DEFINITELY buying some shit before they retire.

The Missing Three (the Fall/Winter mixup)

A thousand apologies guys, sorry I've been away for a while but life got a little nutty for a bit there....

ANYWHOO

JUST when I thought I had gotten a hang on things as far as Vera releasing prints, I get thrown for another loop! I was a little confused a few months ago when the Fall 2013 preview had 6 colors (pictures credited to Alison from Oh My Vera!, who gets the juicy scoop before us all!!!!!)

At first I assumed all the prints would be released at the same time, and I thought "Woah that's a whole lotta prints for one season". But then the Back to School ads started getting leaked...

..... and there were only 3 out of the 6 prints shown (and Olivia Pink was NOT one of them!!!). Soooo then I started to wonder what the heck was going on with those other prints? Were they being released later? The next season?? Are they being released at all??????

To make things even more confusing, there was a release saying that there were 3 MORE prints being released in Winter 2013....

...so now I'm having a full blown panic attack, because once AGAIN there is no Olivia Pink and whatinthehamsandwichisgoingonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn?!?!?!?!?!?!

On top of that, yesterday Sarah from A Very Vera World posts this email she got from someone, an email that pretty much says that the prints that I now dub The Missing Three are the true Winter 2013 prints...

...

Can someone please just lay out this bag of snakes for me! I actually like those Canterberry prints so what's going on with them? Where the heck are The Missing Three?!?!

Fall Preview 2013

Earlier this week, the awesome Oh My Vera posted the possible Fall 2013 colors she got from taking a suurvey (where the heck are these surveys and how can I get down?!?!)

Aaaaaand this morning the lovely VeraObsessed posted this:

From what I can see, I believe the colors and styles are (l-r: La Neon Rose (Vera tote), Heather ( Tote), Cocoa Moss (Large Cosmetic), Bittersweet (Zip Around Wallet), Olivia Pink (Backpack), and at the top I can make out a La Neon Rose Smartphone Wristlet , a Lola Kiss and Lock wallet, a Bittersweet wristlet, and a Lola (Hipster).

Phew!!!

So I see there are 6 prints that are visible, but I'm a Newbie to the Land of Vera, and I'm a little confused...

Fron Oh My Vera's post, I see 9 prints that were given names, so does that mean there will be 9 fall colors? Or just the 6 in the picture? OR is this like a trial where the more popular ones in the store preview get picked? Somebody helppppp!

In any case, I already love Olivia Pink, so I hope its one of the ones chosen (if that's what happening)...I've got big plans for that print, it has my two favorite colors together, an earthy GREEN and a pretty PINK.
